Lovena Esther Nielson McCarrel passed away June 29, 1997 in Layton, Utah.

She was born August 9, 1916 in Salt Lake City to Hans and Esther Marie Pulley Nielson. Married Fay Dee McCarrel. She was a delegate for the State of Utah for ALA-NON. She was a member of the Beth Araba Chapter 24 Order of Eastern Star, Clearfield, Utah.

She is survived by daughter, Clarice (Vincent) Androwsky; son, Leon R. (Margie) McCarrel of Guam; sister, Nadine Tubbs; brother, Dr. Michael Nielson; step-brother, James Everett. Also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Erma, Cecil, Myrtle and Russell Nielson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 1997 at 1 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
