Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Mayfield Bouwel, age 92 years, of West Monroe, LA were held 1 p.m. Sunday March 6, 1994 from the Living Way Apostolic Church, in West Monroe with the Rev. Carl Shurte officiating. Interment followed at the Welcome Home Cemetery, at Grayson, LA under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mrs. Bouwel, a homemaker, died March 4, 1994 at the West Monroe Guest House, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Bouwel was a member of the Living Way Apostolic Church, in West Monroe. Survivors include: 3 sons: Mr. Joseph Bouwel, Mr. Lawrence Bouwel, and Mr. Edward Strange, all of West Monroe, LA; 2 daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Bellmore, and Mrs. Sharon Ledet, both of West Monroe; 32 grandchildren, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
