GOINS, BETTY LEATRICE - age 73, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2000, at U.T. Hospital. A member of Harvest Christian Fellowship. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Jackson T. Chandler; parents, Andrew J. and Laura Alder Goins; brothers, George N. and Ernest E. Goins. Survivors include daughter, Jacqueline and husband Chris Smith; sons, Danny Goins, Jimmy Carpenter, and daughter, Janet T. Proctor; sisters-in-law, Louise Goins and family and Mary Crisp and family. Special friends, Bill and Jewell Knight, Smith family, Chandler family, Loveday family, Brackett family, and Jackson family. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Paul Loveday, Jason Loveday, Alan Cloud, Jeff Brackett, and Charley McGill, Jr. Funeral services were held Monday, November 13, 2000, in the Chapel of McCarty Mortuary. Interment services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred McGill and Rev. Charles McGill, Sr. officiating. Family and friends will meet atthe Bookwalter Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Drive, in charge of arrangements.
