BRISTOLVILLE - Marjorie Ellen Burke Smith, 67, of Bristolville, died at 11:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at St. Joseph Health Center emergency room
She was born Feb. 28, 1941, in Virgie, Ky., the daughter of the late Charlie Vernon Burke and Elsie Mae Falke Burke.
Marjorie was a graduate of Virgie High School and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed bingo, crafts, knitting and collecting frog figurines.
She is survived by her husband, Larry S. Smith, whom she married May 9, 1965; two sons, Larry S. "Snuffy" Smith Jr. and John M. Smith, both of Bristolville; one daughter, Sandra J. Smith of Warren; two brothers, William Burke of Chapin, S.C., and Bailey Burke of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three sisters, Evelyn Brewer of South Shore, Ky., Janice Burke of Cortland and Sandra Kish of Bristolville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Marjorie was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Lee, Randall and Jimmy Burke, and one sister, Barbara Burke.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the North Bristol Christian Church in Bristolville, where funeral services will follow at noon Monday. The Rev. Dale Briggs and the Rev. John Kish will officiate. Burial will be at Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristolville.
Arrangements were handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren.
