Bernice Babb

Greenwood – Bernice Page Babb, widow of W. Alton Babb, formerly of Princeton died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Born in Dodge County GA, she was a daughter of the late William Jackson and Mollie Tyner Page. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Other than her love for her family, she loved gardening and collecting and refinishing antiques.

Surviving are: two sons, Waddy A. Babb (JoAnne) and John R. Babb (Sue), all of Greenwood, two sisters, Betty Richey of Greenwood and Bobby Wood of Mauldin, two grandsons, Ty Babb (Rollins) of Charleston and Matt Babb (Katie) of Greenwood and three great-grandchildren, Campbell, Harrison, and Gray Babb, all of Charleston. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Lebanon United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Diane Boyer officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Lebanon UMC Food Program, 1450 Dunklin Bridge Rd, Honea Path, SC 29654.
