JUAN JULIAN BRIBRIESCO

Juan Julian Bribriesco, 71, of 1229 State St., Bettendorf, died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday in Mercy Hospital following an illness of the last five months.

Born June 24, 1885, in Pénjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, he came to this community 40 years ago and married Maria Trinidad Delgado in 1917 in Bettendorf. He had been employed at the Riverside Foundry for the last six years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf.

Surviving are the widow, six sons, Joseph and John Jr., both of Bettendorf, Mercy, Manuel and Paul, all of Davenport, and Thomas, of Muscatine; a daughter, Mrs Mary Sparks of Davenport; a sister, Miss Marie Bribriesco, of Mexico and 21 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the McGinnis Funeral Home, Bettendorf, at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The Rev. Robert Amborn will celebrate the Mass. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
