Captain Amos Wilson enlisted a company, went to the war but was taken ill by sun stroke and returned home.

"Connecticut Men in the Revolution" Page 396, lists him as a member of the Eighth Company of Connecticut Troops, ,Second battalion, Wadsworth's Brigade 1776; but Discontinued on October rolls.
