Son of Sippie Simmons and George Washington Winningham. Father to Oral L, Lorraine J, Raymond N, Nadine, and Alberta. Wife of Amelia Caroline (Carlie) Smith Winningham. Born in Missouri, lived in Kansas and Wyoming. Adam had a sister Mary and a brother Neal. Adams's parents divorced. Mr. marrying Martha E House in 1903.

1900 - Adam was (step son-in-law) living in the home of Robert Campbell. Adam was a farm laborer.

1910 - He was single and a livery house laborer in Paradise, Russell Co, KS on 3rd St. Adam completed 8th grade.

Married Amelia Caroline (Carlie) Smith.
WWI Draft KS-age 29 shows Adam married with 3 children, tall, slender, light brown hair and grey eyes.

1920 - They had moved to Salina, Saline Co in KS. Adam became a Brakeman and Conductor for Steam Railway. The family moved to Rawlins Carbon Co WY living at 507 14th St.

1930 - Children: Oral Leroy, Lorraine Josephine, Raymond Neil, Nadine and Alberta (born in WY). Oral and Lorraine pass by 1936. Raymond was a trainman. Nadine a saleslady for a retail "ready to nurse" company.

1940 - Adam working as a Freight Conductor of Steam Railroad. Raymond becomes a fatality to WWII being killed in action in France in 1944. Remains returned to WY for burial 1948!

1950-1972 - Wife Carlie passed the day after Christmas in 1961. No information available over the years or an update for Nadine and Alberta. Note that Adam passed on July 4th !!!
