Marian Ruth (Gordon) McGuire, age 85 of Darlington, died on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Dodgeville, to Archie Lea & Mabelle Vietta (Everson) Gordon. Marian married Lloyd J. McGuire on Sept. 22, 1937, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Lloyd preceded her in death on April 27, 1990. She was a nurse's aide at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County and worked at Borg Instruments prior to her retirement. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington and on it's Council of Catholic Women. Marian is survived by her son, James McGuire of Darlington; eight grandchildren, Rose Marie Hanna, Terry Lee (Otis) Reger-Nelson, Russell (Kelly) Reger, Mark Reger, Lisa (Lynn) Howard, James Lloyd (Bonnie) McGuire, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Beerup, Scott McGuire; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Agnes Leora Ellery, Lela Mae Jacobson and Alice Elaine Noble all of Mineral Point; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. In addition to her husband, Lloyd, Marian was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Helen M. Reger (Dec. 7, 1965); two great-grandsons, Jeremiah and Brett; her brothers, Curtis Earl Gordon and Harold Robert Gordon; and her sisters, Kathryn Ann Gordon and Veva Grace Cunningham. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Darlington, with Father Randy Budnar officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at the STEIL CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, 206 E. Harriet St., Darlington.
