Courtney "Suggie" Boutwell Delaune, a homemaker, died Thursday of heart failure and a stroke at University Hospital. She was 59. Mrs. Delaune was a native of Ruth, Miss., and lived in the St. Bernard community.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie J. Delaune; her mother, Velma Boutwell; two daughters, Kim M. Delaune and Tiffany A. Delaune; two brothers, William D. Boutwell and Wallace L. Boutwell; three sisters, Betty Rayborn, Margaret Boutwell, and Linda Jean Long; and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
