Elizabeth D. Adams, age 93, of Valley Grande, AL was born May 9, 1920 in Selma, AL and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady E. Adams; son, Stephen R. Adams; parents, Ola S. Duke and George W. Duke; brothers, Aubrey H. Duke, Richard Duke and Mack Duke and infant sister, Ola Duke.

She is survived by her sons, A. Earl Adams (Rosie) of Jackson, MS, W. Bruce Adams (Ann) of Valley Grande, AL, Jeffry R. Adams (Christy) of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Angie A. Perry (John) of Valley Grande, AL; grandchildren, Chad Adams of Bessemer, AL, Britt (Lauren) Adams of Valley Grande, AL, Lani Sewell (Keith) of Millbrook, AL, Cade Adams of Marion Junction, AL, Elizabeth Appleby (Daniel) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michelle (Chris) Edmonds of Chatom, AL, Carla Adams of Jackson, MS, Grady Adams, Rylan Adams and Josiah Adams of Huntsville, AL and eight great-grandchildren.

She loved the Lord and served as Sunday School teacher for many years and even in her final years she never missed an opportunity to tell those that visited her about Jesus.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cory Horton and Dr. Cecil Williamson, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Chad Adams, Britt Adams, Cade Adams, Grady Adams, Keith Sewell, Lacy Kendrick and Dana Hollis.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Southern Care Hospice, Inc., Demopolis, AL and Dr. John Mitchell, UAB Family Medicine, Selma, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Elkdale Baptist Church, 2221 Elkdale St., Selma, AL, 36701 or Southern Care Hospice, Inc., 927 Hwy. 80 W, Demopolis, AL, 36732.
