Collins retired in 1971 after 21 years at the General Motors Chevrolet plant in Indianapolis. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Centerton.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Donald E. of Tulsa, Okla., and William E. Collins of Paragon; a daughter Madonna I. Lowe of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were five brothers, Lee, Raymond, Loren and Everett Collins and an infant; four sisters, Letha Ellis, Josephine Simpson, Evangeline Vonderay and Susie Perry.
Elder John Mason, Rev. Paul Wylie and Rev. Delbert Streiby will officiate at the funeral services today (Wednesday) at 1 pm at Cure & Hensley-Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
