Mrs. Mike Clementz, aged eighty-two, passed away at 5:45 o'clock Saturday morning at the St. Joseph's home in Peoria. Her maiden name was Magdalena Sohl. She was born in Alsace, France, and came to America when an infant. Sixty years ago, she and Mike Clementz were married, Mr. Clementz being a farmer of Douglas county. Fifteen years ago, they moved to Villa Grove. After they became feeble, they went to the St. Joseph home. That was three years ago. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary ten years ago at the home of their son, T.G. Clementz of Villa Grove.
Besidess the son, T.G. Clementz, the following children survive: Mrs. Barney Hessler and John Clementz of Champaign, Mrs. Victor Stinger of Tuscola, Mike and Tony Clementz of Peoria. Five children are dead.
Mr. Clementz of Villa Grove and two sisters left Friday night for Peoria. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at Peoria.
