On May 24, 1986 at 9:30 p.m. she succumb this life at Del Oro Hospital, Houston, Texas.
She was a dear mother to eight children of which her son L M Roberts and Mollie Roberts Garrett preceded her in death.
Cherishing Carrie's memory are four daughters: Grace Garrett Hale of Houston, Texas; Virginia Garrett and Gladys Garrett, both of Broaddus, Texas, and Tommie George Sowells of Lufkin, Texas; two sons: J. D. Roberts and Wymon Roberts, both of Tacoma, Washington. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. One sister: Mrs. Arlene Thomas of San Augustine, Texas and two brothers: Clarence Price of San Augustine, Texas and Joe Price of Richmond, California along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
