Springfield, Feb 7 [1913] - Sullivan Fanning, son of D B Fanning and grandson of Mr and Mrs Joseph A Fanning, died near town today and will be buried by the side of his mother at the old Peeples burying ground, three miles west of town.

Sullivan Fanning was a bright young boy of about 15 years. His mother, who was Miss Bailey, died when this boy was very young. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Joseph A Fanning, his father residing at DeLand, Florida. He was a member of the high school class of this town, and was a favorite with both teachers and pupils.

Some weeks ago he was stricken with typhoid fever and although everything possible was done to save him, the disease proved fatal.
