Dorothy Austin, Frank E. Tracy Reveal Nuptials

At 10 a. m. Saturday, July 3, Dorothy Nestor Austin became the bride of Frank E. Tracy in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. B. H. Fisher in the parsonage of the Grace Methodist Church in Cumberland, Maryland.

For her wedding the bride was attired in a black and gray linen dress with which she wore matching accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds.

Miss Marjorie Staton, close friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a pink and black checked dress with matching accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. E. F. Tracy, of Cumberland, father of the groom, served as best man. Other attendants were Mrs. E. F. Tracy and little Larry Austin.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Nestor of Washington street was employed before her marriage by the Hazel Atlas glass factory. Mr. Tracy is employed as a Diesel electrical supervisor for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad. The newlyweds are residing in Fetterman.

DOROTHY M TRACY, CUMBERLAND - Dorothy "Dot" Muriel (Nestor) Tracy, 76, of Cumberland, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at her home.

Born Oct. 28, 1921, in Barbour County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late David and Ora (Horton) Nestor. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Bud, Durbin and Gene Nestor.

Mrs. Tracy was a homemaker and an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Bedford Street, where she served as deaconess, elder and president of the women's fellowship. She and her husband, Frank C. Tracy, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 3, 1998.

Mr. and Mrs. Tracy's family consists of Mrs. Tracy's son, Larry Halverson-Tracy and wife Eunice, Falls Church, Va.; and stepchildren Marie Wagoner and husband Orvin, Fort Ashby, W.Va., Frank E. Tracy and wife Beverly, Detroit, and Lester C. Tracy and wife Sherri, Arad, Israel. Also surviving are three brothers, Bernard, Ronald and Russel Nestor; and three sisters, Pauline White and Lillian Stevens, all of Grafton, W.Va., and Mary Stahl and husband Roy, Washington, Pa. She was "Granny" to 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and one special little boy, neighbor David Arnold.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the David Matthew Arnold Fund, c/o Connie Arnold, 120 Humbird St., Cumberland, MD 21502.
