DAVENPORT — Private family services for Mr. Thomas J. Bribriesco, 88, a resident of Davenport, were held Friday, Nov. 15, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.

Mr. Bribriesco passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

Thomas Joseph Bribriesco was born March 7, 1925, in Bettendorf, a son of Juan and Maria Trinidad (Delgado) Bribriesco.

He was united in marriage to Betty Jane FISHER in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on May 20, 1987.

Mr. Bribriesco established Bribriesco Trucking Co., and for over 40 years, serviced and contracted with the United States Postal Service. During this same time, he also worked for the former J.I. Case Company for many years.

Tom was a very private person and enjoyed the simpler things in life; he cherished his family and was proud of all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he could be found quietly working a jigsaw puzzle.

Those left to honor his memory include a daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Gordon Striegel, Au Train, Mich.;
a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Laurie Bribriesco, Jr., Davenport; a daughter-in-law, Shari Bribriesco, Davenport;
nine beloved grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Mary) Bribriesco, Bettendorf; and a sister, Mary Sparks, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Judy Marberry; a son, Tim Bribriesco, Sr.; a granddaughter, Adrienne Corsiglia; and brothers, Joe, John, Manuel and Mercy Bribriesco. May they all rest in peace.
