Gloria Ann (Brockriede) Bumb, age 81, of Evansville, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, May 1, 2015, surrounded by her family. Gloria was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and had worked as the "Ice Cream Lady" in the Mater Dei High School cafeteria for many years until retiring in 2012. Gloria was a devoted wife, a caring Mother, and a spoiling Grandmother.
She was passionate about her family, her friends, and Mater Dei High School! She enjoyed attending the many activities of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and she never missed a Mater Dei football game. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. We are sad that you are gone but so happy you are at peace and can once again dance with Dad and play cards with Grandma & Grandpa Brockriede. Those who knew her, loved her and to her we say: "Fly high Silver Fox"!
Gloria will be joining her husband of 48 years, Robert Joseph Bumb (2001) and her parents, Cliff and Kate (Coomes) Brockriede in Heaven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Phil Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:30 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at Resurrection Church.
