L. Faye McLain Rusk, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Rev. Bobby Smith, Associate Pator of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rusk was born March 20, 1914, in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Walter Ernest and Armenda Jones McLain, former Nacogdoches County sheriffs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ellis J. Rusk; parents, Ernest and Armenda McLain; brother, Walter E. McLain, Jr.; and sister, Pauline McLain Hughes.
Survivors include:
* her daughter, Martha Ellen Rusk
* grandchildren, Michael David Rusk, and Ellen R. Kirkwood and husband Scott Kirkwood
* great-grandchildren, Courtney R., Hunter G., and Forrest C. Kirkwood
* sister, Berma Johnson
