William Kenneth Flanders, 85, died Friday, December 27, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness. A native of Emanuel County, he lived most of his life in Toombs County.

He was retired from Price Chevrolet Company in Charlottesville, VA, was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII, was a member of the American Legion, a member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons, a member of the Methodists Mens Club, and the mens Bible Class.

Survivors: two sisters, Alice Flanders of Swainsboro, Martha Nelle Braziel of Lyons; one brother, Maxwell Flanders of Lyons; one stepson, Tom Schulte of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephew. Visitation: 4:00p. m.-7:00p. m., Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Services: 11:00 a. m., Monday, Dec. 30 at the Firs United Methodist Church of Lyons with Rev. James Aycock and Dr. Max Hill officiating. Burial: Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Vidalia.
