Donnis Jean (Parker) Heimbach, 77, of Jackson Road, Danville, passed away with her family by her side Nov. 13, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Lewisburg on Nov. 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Walter and the late Evelyn Parker Dewalt. She was married June 30, 1976, to Arthur L. Heimbach who survives. They celebrated 37 adventurous years together.
Jean attended Milton schools and worked for American Home Foods in Milton for 36 years. She was a devoted Elvis fan, and Jean enjoyed holiday gatherings with her family. She cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bird-watching and loved animals; she leaves behind Sammy and Pickens. Jean liked to go to their cabin in Cameron County, and she liked word search puzzles.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Max W. Jr. and Pamela S. Doebler of Fairfax, Va.; and Dennis James and Christine M. Doebler of Danville; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Brian Baylor, of Danville; three brothers: William Parker of Lewisburg; Walter Dewalt of Milton; and Scott Dewalt of Pittsburgh; four sisters: Lucy Dewalt of Watsontown; Ginger Herman of Selinsgrove; Judy Coté of Harrisburg; and Linda Kemper of Milton; six grandchildren: Season Massey; Sandy Doebler; Steven Doebler; Shandi Wicher; Brandon Baylor; and Mike Huff; and five great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Huff.
Friends and relatives will be received 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral will be held at noon, with the Rev. William Petry officiating. Burial will be in Montandon Cemetery.
