Son of Jonathan Holman and Susan (Greenleaf) Holman. Charles was married three times. His first wife was Amelia (Tyler) Holman (1833-1855). They were married on September 10, 1853. Charles' second wife was Rebecca (Strayer) Holman (1833-1881). Rebecca and Charles were married in April 1857. They had at least four children together including: Charles, Susan, Sheridan and Louella Holman. Charles' third wife was Elizabeth A. (Dunlap) Holman. They were married on April 23, 1882 and had at a son, Harry Holman.
