HOWARD WATKINS, WAS ENGINEER

Howard E. Watkins, 78, of Lancaster, died Saturday at Hospice of Lancaster County. He was the husband of Mae Eckman Cummings.

Born in Trainer, he was the son of the late Ernest M. Watkins and Ida Aaran Watkins.
He had been a stationary engineer with Congoleum in Linwood for 14 years, retiring in 1983.

A Merchant Marine, he had also served for seven years on Sun Oil Ships. Formerly of Norwood, he had lived in Ephrata for five years.
