Genevieve graduated from Massena High School in 1931. She attended Drake University and graduated with a B. A. degree in 1935. She started her teaching career at New Virginia High School in 1935. After her marriage to Dale Pace, who was teaching at Gibson High School, she became the principal of Gibson High School. Dale and Genevieve had four children: Sandra, Judy, Larry, and David.
