She was born on February 2, 1915 in Ronan, Montana, the daughter of Marion F. and Kate O’Sullivan Suiter. In 1923, at 9 years of age Hannah traveled to the Skagit Valley with her family on a horse drawn wagon. She was raised and attended schools in Sedro-Woolley.
She was united in marriage to Lindsey John Knuth in Sedro-Woolley in 1931 and they made their home here since that time. Hannah was a devoted housewife and later worked at the Cascade Cannery in Burlington until her retirement at age 65.
She enjoyed gardening and she also was a great nature lover, taking long walks thru the fields and woods. She was known for her kindness towards her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Grace Draper and Annie Wilson, both of Sedro-Woolley; four sons: Lindsey Knuth and his wife, Wilma, of Mount Vernon, Raymond Knuth, Robert Knuth and William Knuth and his companion, Sharon, all of Sedro-Woolley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, ‘Nute’, in 1987; a son, Marvin, in 1965; a sister, Mary Wright; and a brother, Marion Suiter.
The family suggests memorials be made to ‘Meals On Wheels.’
Funeral services will be Monday, December 30, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery in Sedro-Woolley.
