Mrs. McKinney, 71 Longtime Local Resident, Dies
Mrs. Florence Elnora McKinney, 71, a resident of Muscatine for 62 years, died at 3 p.m., Wednesday at Hershey hospital after an illness of eight weeks. Her home was at 1521 Grand avenue.
She was born at Kalona, Ia., on Sept. 3, 1857, the daughter of John and Ellen Adams Snider.
Her marriage to Delbert McKinney occured on Nov. 20, 1901, in Muscatine. She was a member of Grace Reformed church and the Royal Neighbors lodge at Wilton.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Lester B. McKinney, Davenport; two daughters, Mrs. R. B. Hess, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Oneta Criger, Muscatine; three grandchildren. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.
The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday by the Rev. Guilford Street, pastor of the Bloomington Friends church. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
