Rufus served during WWII, was a member of American Legion Post #440 in Waco. He worked for the City of Waco as a mechanical engineer and also an transportation supervisor for Waco Transit. He had operated several service stations in Waco.
Survivors include: Wife, Inez Bush of Waco; two sons, Weldon Bush of Waco an James Bush of Kansas; stepdaughter, Joyce Webb of Waco; two stepsons, Darmon Howard and Daymond Howard both of Waco; sister Janie McGee of Waco; brother, J.L. Bush of Bellmead TX; three grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren.
