Gloria Ann Jones of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Meadowview Manor. Age 91 years.

Gloria Ann Burrill was born October 25, 1922, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Gladys (Pratt) and Walter John Burrill. She graduated from Saginaw High School and later from Saginaw Business Institute. She had been employed as a secretary for Saginaw Products and then as a buyer for Valley Drug Company. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church, the Wesleyan Circle, and United Methodist Women. She was a member of a reading club and of numerous Bridge clubs. She enjoyed dancing, including square dancing, round dancing and line dancing.

She married Morris Jones Jr. on May 31, 1944; he predeceased her October 14, 2002. Surviving are three daughters, three sons, and their spouses, Margery A. Farnum, Saginaw; Sally Pomaville, Lompoc, CA; James Jones, Saginaw; Robert and Nancy Jones, Yuma City, AZ; Cheryl and Tom Brown, Cincinnati, OH; Thomas and Marguerite Jones, Macomb Township, MI; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Prahin and Amelia Burrill; many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Gordon Farnum, a grandson, Keefe, and by two brothers, Richard and Jack Burrill.

Funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon Thursday, November 14, 2013, at State Street United Methodist Church, 3617 Mackinaw Street. Rev. Elias Mumbiro and Rev. Douglas Loeffler will officiate. Private committal services will take place later. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then at the church on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
