EVELYN AGNES CAVANAUGH

April 2, 1914 ~ April 10, 2004

"Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age but they die young" Sir Arthur Wing Pinero

In memory of Evie who never grew old.

She was born Evelyn Agnes French in Cimmeron, New Mexico, the youngest of eight children. She moved to Hollywood, California as a young girl. She married John Cavanaugh in January of 1942. They moved to the Santa Cruz County in the late 1950's. John and Evelyn had been married for 55 years when he passed away in 1997. During her life she worked as a medical secretary, bookkeeper and real estate agent. Volunteering at Dominican Hospital, teaching catechism and devoting her time to family was what she loved most. Children, animals, gardening and entertaining brought her great joy. She welcomed everyone and made them feel at home.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cavanaugh; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Her warmth, cheerfulness and giving spirit will be missed.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 23, 2004 at St. John's Church in Felton, California beginning at 11:00 a.m.
