The following obituary appeared in the "Patriot-News" (Harrisburg, PA) on November 12, 2013:

Born Plains, Pennsylvania to Paul and Anna Borsos. He had one brother, Paul. Al served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during WW II and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from Bucknell University.

In 1956 he married Virginia Pittman. Children are Daniel (Drew Ann) of Nashville, Valerie (Fred) Picini of Fairfax, VA, Laura (Stan) Moore of Decatur, AL. Grandchildren are Anna Borsos, Allison (Leroy) Flaten, Lizz Picini, Glorianne Picini, Chris (Katie) Moore, Jon (Katlyn) Moore and one expected great-grandchild.

After a successful career in industry, Al spent 9 years as Mission Service Corps Missionary, planning and supervising construction of small Southern Baptist churches in West Virginia and coordinating volunteer construction teams. Today there are more than 50 church buildings in West Virginia as the result.

After moving to Tennessee in 1997 he was an active member of Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church, where he has served as deacon, helped organize the men's prayer group, and was long-time Sunday School teacher, teaching his last lesson 12 days before his death. Over the years he went on assignment with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and participated in many mission trips to other states and Canada.

Al enjoyed fishing, camping, Scouting, golf, and the beach; but his first priorities were his family and his Lord.

In lieu of flowers his family requests donations to Gideons International.
