Helen M. Parmer, 89 of Humboldt died Wednesday (April 10, 1991) at her home.
The funeral was held on Monday at Schilling's Funeral Home. Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. She was born March 21, 1902, in Mattoon, to George Washington Gaines and his 2nd Wife Lydia Aldridge Gaines. Helen married Theodore L. Parmer in 1920; he died in 1970. At the time of her death she was survived by her son Kenneth Parmer of Mattoon; five daughters. Three daughters in Mattoon, (Marjorie J. Parmer Dare); a daughter in California, and a daughter in Windsor (Francis Harris); 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her brother Harry Gaines, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
