Juanell was born in San Angelo while living in Arden, TX. She was named for her maternal grandmother, Lizzie Underwood. Her parents were U.S. mail carriers when the rural mail was delivered via horse and buggy. Juanell went to school at the Arden School and was in the Arden School band. She also was an accomplished accordion player.

Juanell married her first husband at age 16 and was the mother of two boys & two girls. She lived primarily in west TX towns, but lived in Grand Junction, CO for about seven mos. She lived in Eldorado, TX and worked at the Eldorado Woolen Mill Co., she lived in Midkiff, TX and worked as a base two-way radio operator for D.B. William's Oil Co., and again for Burl's Hot Oil Service. She also lived in Tankersley, Midland, Big Spring, Ballinger and San Angelo, retiring to live in retirement in San Angelo.

Juanell was baptized in 1944 at the Harris & Irving Church of Christ, the first congregation established in San Angelo where her paternal grandmother helped to found and was a charter member. She remained a member of the Church of Christ.

Juanell Robertson passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 85. Visitation will be 9:00a.m. to 8:00p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Fairmount Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.

Lizzie Juanell was born September 21, 1929 to Willie Loyd Pringle and Ora Vivian Underwood Pringle at Arden, Texas. She was the fifth of six children. She attended school in Arden and San Angelo. She married Alfonse "Tex" Orsak on November 14, 1945 and of this union there were three children. On August 2,1965 she married James Aulta Patton and this union produced one son. She married M.B."Red" Robertson on October 26, 1998.

She lived most of her life in San Angelo, Texas. Juanell was a member of the Church of Christ, being baptized in 1944 at the Harris and Irving congregation, the church her grandparents helped to begin. Juanell is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one half sister, one grandson, and one great-grandson. She is survived by her husband, RED ROBERTSON; two sons, Sam Orsak and wife Barbara of Mabank and Jimmy Patton and wife Angela of Abilene; two daughters, Linda Orsak Davis and husband Philip of San Angelo and Patti Orsak Marriott and husband Michael of Lubbock; one brother Burl Pringle of San Angelo; fifteen grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren; one step daughter Cindy Robertson Bishop and two step granddaughters.
