She graduated from Ogden High in 1947 and soon after married Allen Jack Frost, also of Ogden. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death in 2008, including 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Joy was a uniquely beautiful woman, inside and out. She was devoted to her family, her many pets, and to her spiritual growth. She was 5th generation Latter Day Saint; both her parents were descendants of Captain James Brown, the Founder of Ogden. She loved a party and was always ready for a celebration with friends and family.
She is survived by her son, daughter, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 beloved brothers, Albert, Francis, Byron, Boyd and Kenneth Brown.
