NEW HAVEN | David Fox, 72, of New Haven, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

According to David's wishes, his body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic with hope that his gift will assist research.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven with Rev. Steve Garner officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Inurnment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.

David was born May 11, 1941, in Osage, the son of Casper and Bertha (Kehoe) Fox. He graduated as valedictorian of his class from St. Mary's Academy in New Haven. David farmed in the New Haven area until 1982 and then drove truck. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Osage American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, stock car races, and loved visiting with people. David was admired by his sons for his work ethic.

David is survived by four sons, Chet Fox and daughters, Allison, Kaylie and Hannah of Greene, Andy (Sheila) Fox and children, Katerina and Christopher of Ionia, Ben Fox of Dubai, UAE, Justin (Breanna) Fox and daughters, Jaycee and Joselyn of New Haven; three sisters, Sister Bertha Fox of Dubuque, Janice Janes of Richardson, Texas, Ellen (Edward) Dunn of Minneapolis, Minn.; and many extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel Fox, in infancy; daughter-in-law, Jamie Fox; and brother-in-law, Don Janes.
