Janet Elizabeth DODDS
On August 25th, Janet Dodds joined her husband and other loved ones in heaven. She was a kind, sweet Christian woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Janet was born in 1918 to parents Oscar Russell and Alice E Lacy in Penn Yan, NY. She met her future husband David Dodds at a Bible college in Winona Lake, Indiana, after WWII. She and David initially made their home in Seattle, then spent some time in the Los Angeles area in the 1950s before moving their family back to Seattle for good.
Janet died peacefully on August 25, 2013, at age 95. She is survived by her four children: Philip Dodds of Bothell, James Dodds of Seattle, John Dodds (wife Grace) of Bothell, and Margaret Ben-Dan of Tacoma. She also has 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Viewing Friday, September 20, 2 to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Washelli, 18224 103rd Ave NE, Bothell. Memorial service Saturday, September 21, at 2:00 p.m., at Shoreline Full Gospel Fellowship, 15415 5th Avenue Northeast, Shoreline.
The family thanks the caregivers of Overlake Adult Family Home and Evergreen Home Hospice, both in Kirkland.
