William Garfield Lipe, age 87, Rogersville, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He was a member of Spires Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Nealey Watkins Lipe; a sister, Mae Lipe Lawson; and a brother, Ervin Lipe.
He is survived by his wife, Lorena Byrd Lipe; a daughter, Maxine Noe and husband Carl, Surgoinsville; two sons, Ed Lipe and wife Pat, L.D. Lipe and wife Nella; sister, Sarah Jane Lipe, all of Rogersville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John North officiating. Interment will follow in McKinney Chapel Church Cemetery.
