Mrs. Mary Emma Sharp, Who Lived In Knox City Area Many Years, Died Friday

Mrs. Mary Emma Sharp, 80, of the Knox City vicinity, died at 4:05 o'clock Friday afternoon, May 6, 1966, at the Gibson Hospital here where she had been since April 17. She had been at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul Clary, of near Edina the last few years and had been in ill health for some time.

She attended the Assembly of God Church in Edina, when health permitted, and funeral services were there Monday afternoon with the Rev. E. E. Hembree, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery.

Besides the daughter, Darlene, Mrs. Clary, she is also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Dora Butts of Southgate, Calif., and Ethel, Mrs. W. H. Echols, of Yuma, Ariz.; four stepchildren, Tom Sharp of Novelty, Reed Sharp and Fannie, Mrs. C. A. McAnulty, of Edina, and Pansy, Mrs. Richard Anderson, of east of Knox City; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sharp was born June 8, 1885, in Knox County, a daughter of Henry and Dora Wormboldt Weber. She was first married to Edgar Roney and to this union the daughter, Dora, was born. He preceded her in death and on Nov. 10, 1921, she was married to William Sharp. They were parents of the other two daughters. He also preceded her in death, Jan. 26, 1937, as did her parents and two half brothers, Henry and J. C. Schwind.
