Mary Batcher, daughter of August and Caroline Frees Batcher, was born October 8, 1872 and at the time of her death was 72 years old and 5 months. She attended the rural schools of her home community and spent her entire life in the Clay County home continuing to make her home there after the death of her parents, the deaths of other members of the family or their removal to other localities.
She is survived by two brothers and a sister. The brothers are William Batcher of Lander, Wyoming and George, who lives in Oregon. The sister, Anna is a resident of the state of Washington.
