Clara (Dehler) Gerkin McCool, 95, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born May 13, 1918, in Madison, Indiana, daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Whitaker) Dehler.

Clara was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church; she enjoyed reading and liked to sew. She was an avid bird watcher and overall animal lover. She worked as a Teletypist at Sears.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Ann Henson, Emmy (husband Jerry) Gray, Sandi (husband Bill) Miller; sister, Rose Ann Born; 7 grandchildren: Shane Lovelace, Cindy Watts, Yancy Gray, Tawnie Gray, Zach Miller, Sarah Miller, and Joseph Miller; and 2 great grandchildren: Aulden Gray and Teagan Watt.

She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Floyd "Red" Gerkin, and Prosber "Mac" McCool, and 2 grandchildren, Randy Lovelace, and Jeremy Gray.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 11, 2013, from 10 am to 11 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Father Peter Gallagher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
