Vaila E. Maloy, 87, Casa de Paz Care Center died Saturday in Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. James Keefner, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Maloy, the former Vaila E. Clemens, was born Nov. 26, 1898, in Union, Iowa, and was a longtime resident of Sioux City. She married John C. Maloy Nov. 15, 1930, in Dakota City. He died June 7, 1973, in Sioux City.

Mrs. Maloy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of the church. She also was a member of Sioux Valley Barracks 1019 Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Cleo) Stachowiak of Scotsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Beranrd (mae) Burkhart of Marshalltown, Iowa, and three grandchildren.
