William G. Ainsworth, 60, was a Minneapolis businessman and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. On May 9, 1919, he drowned in Prior Lake (his brother saw it happen from shore, but couldn't prevent it). Ainsworth's body was recovered a short time later.

Ainsworth was the father of Vice Admiral Walden ("Pug") Ainsworth, USN (1886-1960), who saw considerable action in the Pacific during WW2. (The Admiral is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.)
