Harvey Lee Doane, of 341 Nash Road, husband of Mrs Mollie Rutherford Davis Doane, died yesterday morning at St Mary's Hospital. He was 82. He was born in and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of McCalla Avenue Baptist church and a veteran of the Spanish American War. '
Doane, a retired candy-maker, is survived by the wife and five sons, Robert H, Marlin L, Allen P, and William C Doane, all of Knoxville and Howard J Doane of Florida; three daughters, Mrs Helen D Walker, Miss Alma M Doane and Mrs John McMillan, all of Knoxville; two brothers, Charles and Taylor Doane, Ashville Highway and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roberts Mortuary with Rev L C Chiles, Rev R E Hollinsworth and Rev Warren Rust, officiating. Interment will be in Thorn Grove Cemetery.
