CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Daniel Martin Gooding, 62, of Camp Point, a retired truck driver, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 20, 1992) in Grandview Manor Nursing Home.
Born March 28, 1930, in Meyer, Mr. Gooding was a son of Clarence and Anna Wilcox Gooding. He married Shirley Ann Price Sept. 16, 1950, in Mendon. She survives.
Mr. Gooding was a retired truck driver. He had attended school near Loraine and was a member of First Christian Church in Camp Point and Travelers Trompers Club.
Survivors also include three sons, Bruce of Brownsburg, Ind., Robert of Quincy, and Jeffery of Carrollton, Texas; a daughter, Colleen Wienhoff of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Kenneth and Herschel Gooding, both of Camp Point; two sisters, Marguette Harrington of Springfield and Marlene Carrier of Hennphin; and seven grandchildren, Karrie and Melissa Gooding of Anderson, Ind., Jared and Heather McCulough of Brownsburg, Nathan, Lindsey and Thomas Gooding of Quincy, and Kavina and Janelle Wienhoff of Boise.
Mr. Gooding was preceded in death by a son, Bryan.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by the Rev. Richard Martin. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery near Big Neck.
Visitation will be held 6-8 tonight and until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home in Camp Point. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church in Camp Point.
