His wife was the late Glennie Overstreet Gillaspie.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Wilson's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Charlie Gillaspie, Jr. Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 1, 1995 at 3 P.M. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. Johnnie Basham. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 - 9 P.M. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
