Peter Chubb was the husband of Susannah and the father of Catharine Chubb Bennett Manning. He was a veteran of the War of 1812 and his wife applied for the widow's pension in 1866. She died in 1869.

In 1850, his wife and daughter Catharine were living in Matamorus along with John Chubb. In 1860, his wife was living with the Henry Chubb family.
