Jane Roach Garner Age 97, Brownsburg, passed away Nov. 5, 2013. She was born Aug. 14, 1916 at home to Delia Agnes (Tillie) Dugan and Thomas Roach, the youngest of eight. She attended Brownsburg Public Schools, graduating in 1934. She received the highest honor possible for a girl at that time, secretary-treasurer of H.S. Athletic Assoc., elected by the student body with all senior girls as candidates. She was employed by many prestigious companies during her lifetime, American Legion Hqtrs., Allisons, Eli Lilly, Cornelius Printing, retiring from Saturday Evening Post Publishing. She was a lifetime member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. Her marriage to Kenneth Garner, better known as Butch, lasted 66 years. Daughter Kitti White preceded her in death. She is survived by son Kelly Garner; son-in-law Mark White; grandchildren Nathan White, Nick White, Noah White, Brendon Garner, Justin Garner, Breanne Garner, and Julie Garner; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thurs. Nov. 7 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 9:30am Fri. Nov. 8 at St. Malachy Church. Burial will be at St. Malachy Cemetery.
