Death year on stone is incorrect
Married Abraham Gilbert "Gibbs" Parrish on 15 OCT 1849 in Knox County, Missouri.

Even though the tombstone states she died in 1852, according to her son William's obit he was born in 1853, so she couldn't have died in 1852 if he was born in 1853. Unfortunately I don't have a source for her death but have 2 newspaper articles stating William was born in 1853 plus his tombstone has 1853.

Census records indicate William was born about 1853, which could also mean in 1852. Only year of Eliza's death is noted on stone, perhaps that is off by a year. Did she pass at William's birth or shortly after--again--1852 or 1853??

Hi, I would like to suggest a death date as August 18, 1853 - death due to "poison from picking blackberries". I found that account from family on Find-A-Grave. Thank you for all your help and for all you do. My great grandfather's stone was "cut" in error.. He died August 28, 1907.. he left 4 young children, ages 7 through 14 years old. When they grew to adult hood and purchased a stone for his grave in 1917.. the stone cutter mistakenly cut the death date as August 28, 1917. Life goes on. Thank you. Steve
