Alice Rebecca Rush was welcomed into the world by her family in Westville, Kershaw County, South Carolina on January 25th, 1919. She was born in the family home built by her great-grandfather, Major John Archibald Young. Her loving heart and joyful spirit took their place in heaven on Sunday, November 3, 2013.
Rebecca was a faithful wife to her husband, Paul Truesdale Williams, whom she married on June 26, 1937. They were married in Chester, South Carolina by Paul's Youth Minister in the Methodist Church, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was the dutiful daughter to her parents Carrie Young Rush and Julian Baron Rush, a caring sister to her brothers Earl Cecil" E.C." Rush, Julian Craig Rush, Lloyd Blackmon "Black "Rush,Sr., Isaac A."Bert" Rush, , Eugene Lindsey "Gene" Rush, and Guy Woodrow Rush and sisters Juanita Marjorie Rush Morris Hanf and Lois Vermelle Rush Bradley, and very special mother to her five children, Judith Rebecca Williams Nation of Waycross, James Paul Williams of Atlanta, Sandra Elizabeth Williams Turner of Jacksonville, FL, Jeannie Christine Williams Johnson (husband Ray) of Titusville, FL, and Walter Herbert Williams (wife Sarah) of Thomasville, GA.

Although her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, Rebecca will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as a good Christian woman, and by her children as "loving Mother". She was a member of Central Baptist Church for the past 63 years and a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers, both sisters, and 4 grandchildren, Patrick Surry Turner, Penny Ann Turner, Shelley Christine Williams, and Rebecca "Becki" Christine Johnson Wilson. Rebecca is survived by her 5 children, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and her brother Isaac A."Bert" Rush.

Rebecca retired from the Georgia State Employment Service as C.E.T.A. Program Coordinator after many years of dedicated and exemplary service to all of her clients and co-workers. Although her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, Rebecca will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as a good Christian woman, and by her children as "loving Mother". She was a member of Central Baptist Church for the past 63 years and a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.
A celebration of her life was held Thursday, November 7, 2013. Visitation began at 2:00 PM with the service following at 3:00 PM at Central Baptist Church. Members of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class were asked to gather at the church at 2:40 PM to serve as honorary pallbearers. Her pallbearers were Paul Andrew Nation, Michael Paul Williams, James Wesley Turner, Anthony Paul Turner, Walter Herbert Williams,Jr.,and D'Metri Thad Johnson. The service was conducted by the Rev. Porky Haynes, Rev. Ed Hurst, and Rev. Ray Johnson. She was buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Central Baptist Church, 201 Ava Street, Waycross, GA 31501 designating either the Broadcasting Fund or the Children's Ministry.
