From Story County Watchman January 9, 1903
In our last we noted the serious illness of Geo. W. Boyd of this city and now we note the fact that the end came Thursday evening. The last rites were under the direction of Rev. Dudley on Sunday from the M. E. church. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss. His age was 55 years. He came to this city many years since and engaged in business and was always considered as one of the most upright and honorable of our business men and all regret that the end has now been reached.
