Anna Marie Laker, 67, of Somerset, KY formally of Rushville, passed away Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

She was born in Rushville, IN on September 22, 1946 to Nolan and Annabelle Wilder. Anna married Donald Laker on November 30, 1963. She went to Rushville High School until her senior year, and graduated from Connersville High School in 1982.

She attended Earlham College at night for a year studying Dietary Management. Anna then took courses for Social Work through Ivy Tech in Connersville. Anna worked at the Durbin Hotel in the kitchen and when it closed, moved on to the kitchen of Miller's Merry Manor as Dietary Assistant Manager. Anna went to work at Flatrock River Lodge for social work. She then worked at the Connersville hospital in medical records but went back to Miller's Merry Manor in medical records until 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Donna Marie of 18 years, and one son Michael, still-born.

Anna was a loving mother to sons James Laker (and best friend Cassie Thomas) of Rushville, and Brian (Rebekah) Laker of Rushville; daughters Bonnie and Connie Laker of Rushville, and Rosie Laker-Weber (Joe) of Saint Mary's, Ohio.

Eight grandchildren: Cayla (Jeremy) Allison of New Castle, Chris Glenn of Rushville, Lexy Laker of Rushville, Chelsea Glenn of Saint Mary's, Ohio, and Aries Laker and Bryant Laker of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Hailie Laker of Waldron, and Torie Cauldill of Shelbyville; four step-grandchildren Hailey and Shyanne Folsom of Rushville and Cody and Garrett Weber both serving in US Army; and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30AM Friday November 8th at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Rev. Jeremy Gries officiating.

Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 PM at the funeral centre where all are welcome to recite the rosary at 3:45 PM.
